I thought it only generated an ascii file in the vob storage directory and then I only had to copy the vob storage dir to the unix host. What should the format of
the dump file look like? The reason I am asking is that I have problem on the UNIX side to change the vob ownership and recreate the VOB database form the dump files. Symptom At times these entries may be seen in the ClearCase logs: 10/18/99 11:55:37 view_server(13967): Error: Operation "rgy_getuuid_by_uuid" failed ("23dd562d.8ebf11d6.a7d9.00:01:80:f0:f4:92"): ClearCase object not found. 10/18/99 15:22:48 view_server(13967): Error: Operation "rgy_getuuid_by_uuid" failed ("23dd562d.8ebf11d6.a7d9.00:01:80:f0:f4:92"): ClearCase object not found. The rgy_getuuid_by_uuid error http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21135523 indicates that ClearCase is trying to look something up in the ClearCase registry by its UUID and is failing, finding no entry with that UUID. This type of error could originate from either a view or a VOB since both use a UUID identification object. The errors above correspond from a view_server process and therefore relate to a view. If the errors correspond to a VOB, it is likely that the output would look similar to the following: cleartool: Error: Unable to find replica in registry for VOB with object ID:"9250ab61.6f04465d.b3f4.d7:a4:a1:74:0c:85" cleartool: Error: Unable to locate versioned object base with object id: "9250ab61.6f04465d.b3f4.d7:a4:a1:74:0c:85". Cause Some possible causes of this include: Client is referring to (mounting) a VOB that no longer exists. View referenced by VOB database no longer exists. This would impact operations like Derived Object winkin and some UCM operations. VOB hyperlinks point to VOBs not tagged in

But the usual course of action is to compressed a locked pvob content, and send it to IBM for analysis. The HyperSlinks aren't an issue here (as they would when making a replica). A Windows error is an error that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an error in Windows, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.
A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal system error and is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".
One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes problems for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.
Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all windows belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.
Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's error-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.
Reimage repairs and replaces all critical Windows system files needed to run and restart correctly, without harming your user data. Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your system to its pre-repair condition.
